Brickell’s Blue Martini is known for its Blue Martini made with Van Gogh Blue Vodka, Curacao and Sour mix over ice, but it won’t leave you feeling blue. It is just the right amount of sweet and sour and is popular for a reason. There is an extensive list of unique takes on the martini, but my favorite is the Perfect Pear which combines Grey Goose La Poire Vodka (pear flavored), pear, lemon and agave and tastes just as juicy as a freshly squeezed pear. This particular flavor of Grey Goose is hard to find at bars and clubs which makes me appreciate it even more every time I drink it. Blue Martini does a great job of offering tasty nibbles, far from the standard bar food. The Baked Brie pairs nicely with the flavorful Perfect Pear and makes a well-rounded French themed Hors D’oeuvre. The creamy texture of the Brie cheese is expertly baked and wrapped in a homemade puff pastry which is drizzled with honey and strawberry cabernet sauce and garnished with freshly sliced apples and a handful of grapes. If you are still hungry and want to try another “martini” order the shrimp cocktail which is served in a martini glass with a homemade tangy cocktail sauce.
Blue Martini offers happy hour 7 days a week from 4-8 pm. Food and drinks are discounted and there is always an after work crowd milling about at the bar or chatting at one of the tables overlooking Mary Brickell Village below. Blue Martini is a bar, restaurant, nightclub and entertainment venue all in one convenient location. There are different events going on throughout the week including a ladies night, karaoke night, DJs and special performers, martini tastings and select bottle service specials. In an area packed with bars, restaurants and lounges Blue Martini is able to prevail because of its delicious food and drinks, unique entertainment and extremely attentive staff and well organized management. In a city full of beautiful people, beautiful buildings and beautiful scenery it is easy to attract a pretentious crowd, but people at Blue Martini are social, inviting and too busy enjoying a night out to worry about that. No matter how busy it gets, expect to be politely greeted and offered a libation in a timely fashion with no air of grandiose.
Locals’ night is Monday night. It is the most laid back night of the week and draws an eclectic crowd from all over the city. It’s called Hospitality Blue Mondays and shows appreciation for employees and owners in the hospitality business by offering 50% off all beverages for its patrons in the industry. A band performs from 10pm-1am and there is live entertainment all night creating a festive atmosphere and an energetic start to the week. The bar is always lit up in shades of blue, a disco ball twinkles overhead and a DJ spins in the corner while guests dance, laugh and mingle the night away. Blue Martini is a must stop when in Brickell. For more information on holding special events, location, and hours can be found at http://brickellmiami.bluemartinilounge.com/
