Go Run was born even before their first store opened it’s doors. The idea was created by the founder Douglas Nicaragua. As a child, running was a bridge that connected his life to opportunities near and far that would change him forever. He would use running for a chance at obtaining an education by securing a college scholarship and as a way to spread a message. A message that an immigrant child could live the American Dream. Because of this, he found a way to give back to the community through running. Go Run now has three locations, one of which is right here in Brickell.
Go Run meet ups are free workouts that focus on community health, fitness, and happiness through running and exercise. Their groups are inclusive where everyone is welcome. No need to worry about your level of fitness, running pace, age, if you are a beginner, an experienced runner, or if you are already part of another fitness club. The fees are simple! Bring a smile and tell all your friends about them, especially the ones that need a little help to reach their healthy lifestyle goals.
The Brickell Go Run club meets every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. Created in June 2016, meets at the Go Run Brickell store location and have grown rapidly! Starting from the store, the group runs towards Brickell Key and along the waterway with glimmering views of the Miami city lights. A nice cooldown awaits inside the store with brightly colored abstract artwork on the store floor by local Miami runner and Artist, Ronald Sanchez.
Or if you’re looking for a more scenic route you can meet them for their Key Biscayne runs on Thursdays at 7pm or Sunday mornings at 6:30am. The meeting spot is the parking lot after the bridge for the Thursday run and at the parking lot before the bridge for the Sunday morning run. Just look for the Go Run van or tent!
