This March, Area 31, Downtown Miami’s acclaimed seafood restaurant, is catering to world traveling foodies and oenophiles living in the Sunshine State. Executive Chef Wolfgang Birk will launch the exclusive Grape Expectations wine dinner series, and Menu Trotting with Chef Wolfgang Birk, showcasing food and wines from the world’s most iconic regions.
Attention, oenophiles! On March 16, Chef Wolfgang is kicking off Grape Expectations, a monthly wine series featuring vintages and food from the world’s most iconic wine regions. Every third Thursday, Chef Wolfgang will take his guests on an intimate journey showcasing spectacular wines from an exclusive wine region, paired with regional dishes. Priced at $85 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity), the special dinners will commence at 7PM with a reception in the restaurant’s beautiful private dining room, followed by a four-course dinner, expertly crafted by Chef Wolfgang, and perfectly paired with incredible wines from the featured region. The inaugural dinner on Thursday, March 16th will feature special vintages from Italy.

Menu Trotting with Chef Wolfgang Birk
Looking for world class cuisine that won’t break the bank? On Monday, March 27th, Chef Wolfgang will launch his much anticipated Menu Trotting with Chef Wolfgang Birk dining series, showcasing special menu offerings from exciting culinary regions. Taking place on the last week of every month, Chef Wolfgang will offer a four-course menu with amuse bouche featuring signature dishes from a particular culinary region. Priced at $55 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity), each month’s Menu Trotting dinner offerings will showcase signature dishes and flavors from regions such as Italy, The Basque Country and Argentina, among others. “In my travels, I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy so many incredible meals,” says Birk. “I want to bring all these international flavors to my guests, at a reasonable price. With the Menu Trotting series, guests can enjoy dishes from a particular country or region, every month for an entire week. It’s really exciting to be able offer my take on cuisine from around the world at an affordable price,” concludes Chef Wolfgang. An optional wine pairing will be available, priced at $20 per person. The Menu Trotting series will be available from Monday through Sunday, on the last week of the month.
