Miami’s Rolling Loud Hip-Hop Festival has finally been confirmed to continue as planned over the three day period of May 5th to 7th in Bayfront Park. The festival has already sold nearly 40,000 tickets and was on the verge of being cancelled after it was discovered that the that the park’s director, Timothy Schmand, had never gotten approval for the festival from Miami Commissioner and chairman Frank Carollo and the rest of the board for the Bayfront Park Management Trust.
An emergency meeting was held on April 11th to decide the fate of the festival. Luckily for the ticket holders and scheduled artists ready to perform, it was a unanimous vote to allow Rolling Loud to continue on as scheduled. Schmand has since resigned from his position after the incident.
