4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

It’s that time of the year again! Miami Film Festival
Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival displays work produced and directed by emerging talent from 40 countries at venues throughout the entire city. The Festival’s programming voice, unique among U.S. film festivals, has gained recognition for its numerous discoveries and has given out more than $1 million in cash awards to both established and emerging filmmakers. This year’s list includes guests such as Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins and actress Patricia Clarkson.

Carnaval Miami: A celebration of all things Miami

Carnaval Miami is powered by volunteers of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana to benefit their foundation’s youth development programs. Carnaval Miami showcases the best of art, music, fashion, food, and sports through a series of captivating events that attract an average of one million attendees each year, including Miss Carnaval Miami, Carnaval on the Mile, Cork & Fork, and the largest ‘Latino’ experience, Calle Ocho Music Festival.

Nine Mile Music Festival

The 9 Mile Music Festival began in 1993 as a musical testament by Cedella Marley Booker to the life and philosophy of her son, world-renowned artist Bob Marley. Though the festival has changed names several times, it remains inclusive and welcoming of all forms of music, including Reggae, R&B, Urban, Latino, and many other sounds. Throughout the years, they have collected over 3 million canned goods, distributing them to homeless shelters and domestic centers throughout Miami and effectively feeding families in need for months. This year, groove to the sounds of their reggae music in the historic Virginia Key Beach Park! Performers will include Shabba, Sizza, Spice, Barrington Levy, Julian Marly, Yvad, and more. Attendees are also asked to bring four canned goods as a charitable donation.

Walk and Wag
Enjoy a Sunday Funday with your best pal! Join the team of doggy walkers (on-leash) starting and ending at DIRT restaurant in Brickell. The 2-mile walk will take around one hour, throughout the Brickell area. Coffee will be provided by DIRT and water + potty bags for pets will be provided by Equipaws Pet Services. Dogs will be kept separate from each other to maintain low energy and ensure an enjoyable experience. Not all dogs are at the same fitness level and they are not expected to complete the full walk. Side note: (Please avoid retractable leashes)

2nd Annual Miami Sports, Health & Wellness Expo
During Miami Health & Wellness Month, you can participate in all types of fitness centers, spas, golf clubs, and outdoor activity facilities that are putting together amazing wellness offers, deals on sports activities, classes, & events for all ages and fitness levels. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau’s ‘Temptations Program” will be hosting their 2nd Annual Expo. The event will feature interactive stations, including fitness partners, medical and wellness exhibitors, and recreational sports vendors catering to locals and visitors who want to learn more about health trends and fitness activities in Miami. Registered guests will enjoy interesting demo workouts while trying delicious, yet nutritional food samples from a variety of companies. The event is open to the public. All registered guests will have the chance to enter to win many exciting prizes!

Flamenco Festival Miami 2019: Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras
Flamenco Festival Miami has become one of the largest celebrations of flamenco in the U.S., its power and majesty enjoyed by more than 40,000 people in our community –including Grammy nominees, telenovela stars and TV personalities. This season’s headlining company, Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras, presented by Knight Masterworks Dance & Knight Foundation, promises to bring the rich flamenco tradition to Miami with modern new twists that herald the new world of flamenco dance.
