Its that time of the year again. Time to unbuckle your belts and feast on the best menus that Miami has to offer. The time when eating at the finest restaurants in town won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Miami Spice was created 17 years ago as a way of attracting visitors and locals during the slower months of the year. The event has grown to more than 200 restaurants across Miami, 49 of which are in the Brickell/Downtown area. Each one offers a prix-fixe menu of at least three courses at $23 for lunch/brunch and $39 for dinner.
When: From August 1st to September 30th, 2018.
So which ones are worth the visit? Where can you get the most bang for your buck? Which ones make you say “damn, that’s a great deal”? The CEO of the visitors bureau Bill Talbert said, “All of the menus are great this year, but some are absolutely extraordinary.” Below you’ll find what we consider to be those extraordinary Miami Spice deals in Brickell & downtown, in no particular order.
1. Bazaar Mar by Jose Andres
A menu created by a James Beard Award-winning Chef, an ambience that depicts the adventures of the Roman sea god Neptune, and open-layout kitchens make Bazaar Mar one of a kind. Best of all, their Miami Spice menu features a wide range of options to choose from. You can try the life changing “Ferran Adria” Liquid Olives or a unique California funnel cake (pictured above) as an appetizer, move on to their famous fried Snapper, and finish with Jose’s surprise dessert. Don’t like fish? No problem. Vegetarian and meat dishes are available as well. We consider Bazaar Mar to be one of the best deals due to their unique and extensive Miami Spice menu. This is what Miami Spice was made for, to enjoy world class cuisine at a fraction of the cost.
Dinner: Tuesday to Saturday
2. Boulud Sud
This mediterranean gem will keep things interesting this year by changing its Miami Spice menu every 2 weeks. Boulud Sud draws inspiration from the coastal Mediterranean, including France’s Côte d’Azur, Italy, Greece, Lebanon, and Morocco. The menu features fresh vegetables, seafood, grains and herbs. Enjoy the relaxing and casual atmosphere as you explore the cuisine brought to you by Chef Daniel Boulud. Miami Spice offerings include gazpacho, Moroccan shakshuka, chicken tagine, branzino a la plancha, and more.

3. Edge Steak and Bar at the Four Seasons
It is no secret why Edge Steak and Bar is considered by many to be the best steakhouse in downtown. Chef Aaron Brooks does not disappoint when it comes to a beautiful steak. Order the Lamb and Apricot Terrine as an appetizer for a unique twist, then decide between the vintage rib-eye with bone marrow gravy or heritage berkshire pork milanese, and top it off with a delicious dark chocolate opera cake. You can’t go wrong with a quality steak dinner at the Four Seasons. Non-meat options such as a cauliflower pasta and New England cod fillet are also available.
Dinner: Monday to Sunday.
4. ADDiKT at the W Miami
If you’re looking for nice views and a unique dining experience, ADDiKT on the 15th floor of the W is the place to be. Chef Christian Quinones will give you an immersive, multi-sensory experience that pushes the boundaries of a traditional meal. The brand new restaurant is offering some of their signature dishes for Miami Spice, such as their “Octopus Aficionado” and “Bang Bang Tuna Tartare” appetizers. As a main dish, order the “Purple Haze” filet mignon with creamy mashed potatoes and a truffle beet puree. You won’t be disappointed.

With locations in Moscow, London, and Dubai, Novikov sees its fair share of celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, and Prince Harry. Miami Spice offers an opportunity to sample their menu for just $23! Appetizers include saffron corn or shrimp cilantro dumplings and pork skewers to name a few.
